@shelflifestore x @amylee_originals | I’ve been ha @shelflifestore x @amylee_originals | I’ve been having a good time mooching around @firstthursdays_za lately. Going solo allows you to pop into as many galleries as you like, pivot in a whim & people watch with pure joy. I often start at #Shelflife as they frequently host collaborations between big and local brands, allowing me to tap into new artists. In Feb; I was aware of an acquaintance’s work and popped in to support. #GirlPower The exhibition aligns with some Jordan 6’s being released after Valentine’s Day. While the store is arguably a work of art on its own - it was lovely to study the works up close, giggle in familiarity (pizza, spiky legs (god bless laser!), kitties and girl time) and take in the lifestyle works. Bold colours, delicate textures formed from pen strokes, a combination of nature and urban environments, Amy-Lee’s works are a charming and delightful celebration of young femininity, shallow vices and modern living. Catch the exhibition until it’s still on (I wasn’t able to confirm the end date). 📆
