New Namibia Visa Requirements for Travellers
If you’re South African, good news! Visa requirements haven’t changed for us. If you are, however, looking to visit from South Africa but originate from another country, it may serve you to review the updated requirements below:

How to Apply for a Namibian e-Visa
You can apply for visas online via their portal. It’s advised to do it ahead of time (up to 90 days) so that you can reduce the amount of times spent at immigration counters. Visit the Visas on Arrival portal and take the following steps:
- Register and Log In
- Select “Visa on Arrival Application”
- Compete all the required details
- Attached a scanned passport (300kb – 2mb)
- Make an online payment
- Submit.
- Print once approved. (You must have the physical visa printed at the boarders.)
The cost is N$1200 for African countries and N$1600 for other countries (same rate as South African Rand at R1600 or about $70 USD). Kids between 6 – 11 cost half price. Cruise line passengers will be charged N$300 per passenger per day for arrivals at Luderitz and Walvis Bay.
Alongside your visa, please check out ALL requirements on our Namibian Road Trip post.
The e-Visa will be issued via the portal. Download and print the e-visa to product at the port of entry. Here are the boarders of Namibia:
