Where We Eat
Capetonians are very astute eaters due to the high quality of produce available in South Africa. When permanently eating rich, flavourful raw ingredients it can really impact how the consumer perceives value. There are also 2 types of Capetonian eaters:
- Consumers who prefer simple dishes that allow the local produce to shine without too much “noise”.
- Consumers who like as many ingredients as possible for a flavour party, where no single ingredient shines.
We prefer the former but many Cape Town staples fall within category 2, so you’ll have to decide which if your favourite.
